I am getting sick of my free email with Yahoo. I have had several problems with extremely late email (a week or more) and some undelivered messages. I tried Hotmail, but it is very slow to load the web pages. I want an internet based email provider that is free and good with at least 1MB (hopefully more) allowed in attachments. What are your experiences with yours? I could go out and grab another account at a random email provider but I want to start with "the best". thanks
Dave

Dave try loading two hot mails at the same time the second will load before the first usually on mine any way. I have the msn messenger, and I just click it twice. See if it works for you. barry

I've been using Email.com for 2 years.

I've recieved huge attachments and have never had ANY troubles. No late mail. Nothing.

The only slight annoyance I've had is receiving HTML from AOL. For some reason, it just won't work. Don't know why. I can receive HTML email from companies, but not from them.

Hummmm, I have only noticed some quirky retrieval of messages on Yahoo, and none lately. Basically, I would recieve a message, click the link to view and get gibberish, but like I say, not lately.

Hi Dave

I use my ISPs email mostly, but until you find one - and if Yahoo uses POP3 servers - you can check and access your mail anytime here even if it's "stuck" enroute.

A lot of the free emails tend to shut down eventually. I sure do miss my ablang@england.com account. I just liked the way it sounds.

Try Lycos Communications at http://comm.lycos.com

Altavista (http://tools.altavista.com) has a decent e-mail service. Decent, anyway...

Yahoo becomes "difficult" at times, I use many of its features, startpage, mail, clubs, messenger etc, and have been for 5 years, they supposedly are one of the most accessed sites on EARTH! Ive had some probs but basically it seems as they add a few 100 thousand more customers or so they update, then the probs subside for awhile...overall, its been an ok experience for me... <IMG SRC="http://b.postmypic.com/b.nsf/Z/MOD4PQWJ/$file/MOD4.jpg" border=0>

I also use it to bring in my pop3 mail acct, no probs there...

Thanks for all of the replies. I want to stick with Yahoo but my attempts to contact them have only gotten me standard replies of rules of which I am well aware of. This Yahoo thing has been going on for a long time (since the beginning of the year) and I have wanted to stick it out but I am going to be moving soon and will no longer have my backup MUSC (work) account. So I will check out some of the leads here and welcome any more feedback to bolster any of the leads posted above.
Thanks
Dave

I just found a site that gives you your own URL and email for 90 days with a $40 charge for the rest of the year (after the free 90 day obligation-free period). I set mine up as daveleau96.com with email at dave@daveleau96.com. The attachments are up to 4MB and the email storage is 10MB. So far it sounds great! I just need to test it and see...
