I am in desperate need of help in finding out information on a motherboard that I have that needs replacing. It is a Socket 3 motherboard. It has a Intel 486 DX 2 proccesor chip in it. It has a box thats says MODEL : 486-VIP-IO
DOC : 13690
I am unsure of the manufacturer of this machine, it is a full size tower (stands approximately 2 feet tall.) The motherbaord only has a keyboard port ( non- ps/2), it has 4 PCI slots and 3 ISA slots, it has (4) 72-pin SIMM chips. There are two stickers on the board that says Genoa Systems Corp.
The system has (2) 500 Meg hard drives.
Can you HELP me????
Thank you

Why not upgrade to a better motherboard for a few bucks? P100mhz chip is like $8 right now.

It sounds like a PC Chips M919 board from what you describe. Go here:

To get more information on PC Chips Boards. They are nice boards. I have 2 of them running Linux with AMD 486-120s.
