I don't like the way this forum looks now. since the icons don't change color I have to scroll over to see if I have read the posts. barry

The icons don't change colors, but the link turns grey once you have gone into the link. That is if you have the settings correct for your IE. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I think he's refering to the icons on the left side of the sub-topic. At least that's what I thought he meant. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

If you don't accept cookies from sysopt, then it can't track which threads and messages you have read. Just add Sysopt.com to your list of "trusted" sites.

That or your cookie has gotten corrupted and you need to install a new one. To do that just click on the "preferences" link at the top right side of your screen and choose "delete all cookies set by this forum" When done with that then click on the lower options to create a new cookie http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I can renew my preference every time I log on and create a new cookie, it makes no difference ,every time I reboot I have to manually enter my name and pass word. Yes it is the icons to the left. Presently the only thing visible without scrolling is the subject and author, It cuts off the # of replys and date/time. I find this very annoying since this is the only way to tell if the post has been read. I can back my security setting all the way off and it makes no difference with the cookies. It is only sysopt that does this. barry The grey links all turn blue after I reboot.

I had my history set at 20 days. How do I get a screen shot? When I click on the link I get the SYSOPT home page. Also just noticed if I click the back button to check something while composing a post I loose the password but not the username. I reentered the password guess it eill work. barry

For a screen shot, hold down alt and press PrntScrn. This will copy the active window into the clipboard. Then open a graphics program such as Paint or whatever and prest Crtl-V or choose paste from the Edit menu.

How about giving us a screen shot?

I don't understand what your seeing, but it's more likely related to changes with your browser than changes at sysopt. It sounds like you have your browser set to accept "per session" cookies but not stored cookies. That also would explain why your loosing your SysOpt username/password on re-boot. If you have your browser history to clear after 0 or 1 days, that would explain why your loosing your "visited" links after a re-boot.

Do you get a popup window when you go here? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/
If you do, then you're not accepting cookies from sysopt or else you're loosing them between sessions.
