One,
do they make wireless modems for them? There are only two phone lines where I am going and wont have access to them, so a wireless modem sounds like the answer,
Two,
Are there any that allow surfing on Palms?
I saw something in the latest PC Gamer magazine that did both of these, but, it was 300 dollars. ouch.

The Palm access is proprietary. You must have service where you are going. It only allows you to go onto their proprietary sites that they have formatted for the Palm "experience". The tiny amount of power the Palm, Handspring, Win CE has is not enough to deal with all of the code and pics that are out there in the real web. The prices, last time I looked, are set up on a transaction basis. You connect once to get a stock quote or email and that counts as a transaction. For $9.99 you get something like 40 transactions/month. For 39.99 you get 240 or 480 (can't remember). For email you have to have an address that is sprecific for your Palm ISP. You cannot get Yahoo or Hotmail email, so you need everything forwarded to your Palm email. They are working on wireless modems for the CE units and for the palms. right now, you can use a cell phone and their land line modem if you get the right cable to connect to your modem from your cell phone provider. The onyl cellular modems right now though are the ones built in (like the Palm VII). Hope that helps.

Thanks Tonym, Kind of steep, but at least I know what I will be dealing with.
