I am interested in getting a decent digital camera for around the $300.00 price point. So far I seem to come up with the Kodak DC215. It seems to be about the best. Is there better for the same price. Or is there a great site to get it for much less. Any input would be welcomed and appreciated.

here's the best two review & info sites I've found on digicams:

Personally, I've got both an HP C200, and a Fuji MX1200.
The Fuji is a current model, and I'd recommend it. Good range of features & easy to use. Small enough to fit in a pocket comfortably. Been dependable for me so far (10 months), and I haven't "babied" it. Treated it like any other camera.

The Kodak DC215 is by far one of the better, if not best IMHO, digi-cams around that price range.
I've picked one up myself just a month ago still have receipt and box.
I got the regular one, no millenium stuff.
I'm looking to sell cause I'm in somewhat of a displeasing financial situation. Email me if you want it. I wouldn't mind selling it to a fellow Sysoptician http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

You should be able to find a Kodak DC240 for about $300. I'd go for that over the 215 any day. The DC240 is one of the best low cost 1.2 Megapixel cameras.

I went with the Olympus D-360L. 1.3 megapixels, 8MB memory. Option to add the floppy disk adapter...
