*Another Fan added, to blow hot air upwards, and my 250watt power supply is still chugging along, with all those fans http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif*

I was sitting around tonight looking in my computer spare parts drawer, and I was trying to figure out what to do with these two spare fans I have, then it hit me, and I made this wicked little cooling invention for my Geforce. Well, I dunno if anyone else has already done this or not, but I still think it's cool http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I put it together using super glue, and it is REAL SOLID, but the only problem now, is I have no feeling on most of my finger tips, because they are all coated in dryed super glue, **** I suck http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Anyways, the first three pics are of my little invention, and all the rest of the pics are of my fan setup in my case.

I have eight fans running off my 250watt power supply, not including my Golden Orb and the power supply fan http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Feel free to critisize me, or give suggestions on anything http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I've got 1 more small fan, 3 more case fans and one MONSTER 15cm AC fan sitting around, but I don't know where to put them yet.

Oh, I apologize for the picture quality, but it doesn't help when you have the worst net cam on the planet http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I did something along those lines, except I made one of those little exhaust-blower type things. I used a metal bracket from an old video card, and epoxied a small blower to it. Very nice; moves a decent amount of air, and it only cost me about $3 - much better than $10 or more for one of the already made ones. And it's even ball bearing.

Sorry, I'm too lazy to take off the case and get a pic of it right now. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

My comment is:

That's really cool, only if you actually put something on the webpage http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

I hope you have good hearing.....I SAID I HOPE YOU HAVE GOOD HEARING...isn't it a tad on the noisy side?

Snuffy!

Nah mate, it's not. The only time it'll get noisy, is if I add my 15cm monster somewhere.

Hey Snuffy, that's actually a really good idea if you got alot of spare fans lying around. It looks like a cross between a slot cooler and the card cooler. See www.thecardcooler.com (http://www.thecardcooler.com) to see what I mean.

Good job!

3dgpu.com already posted this trick, only they used a 4" case fan instead. I prefer the having the fan blow across the card myself.

FrozenLiquidity, thanx man http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Brian, it'd be good blowing across the card if it was only a heatsink, but that is not the case, because it has a fan on it instead.

Go to the section called The BIG Fan and you'll see what I mean.

Hey Snuffy. Is this page of yours permanant or are you going to move it and spruce it up a bit? Thought I'd add it to my Links Section (http://home.earthlink.net/~chinmonster/links/index_links.htm) .

Yeah mate, it's permanent, i am learning Flash atm, so I was gonna add more pics of my new fan setups, and spruce up the page, but i'm not gonna change the address http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Done. If there's anybody else out there with an overclocking site and would like to link to mine. Send it over. I think the amatuer ones are the best.

Well done, Snuffy!

Thx.

Including my cpu fan and power supply fan, that makes 11 fans, and i've got plenty more where they came from, just got to figure out a place to put em http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Lets see how far my 250 watter will go! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

I ran across a pretty sweet website for case modification materials the other day. Goto http://www.caseetc.com/ .. Among other things, they have neon light kits! heh.
