I am looking for games that do not involve first person killing of any kind of being :)

Flight sims (more in the action rather than the simulation) are to be considered too.

Games like black and white are nice.

As I have no idea what kind of games exist, I am open to all suggestions.

Thank you for you time.

On the RPG front there are many games that will wet your whistle for hours to come.

1. Baldgurs Gate (1 and 2)
2. Icewind Dale

Well honestly those are the only ones I can think of right now ;)

Ummm otherwise....

1. Myst Series ( I enjoyed them )
2. Need For Speed series (some are better then others...ask around)
3. Worms Armageddon(an excellent game)
4. Age of Empires I and II
5. Master of Orion II
6. Freespace Series (space simulation)

I'll post some more later..gotta go back to work :)

Yes The SIMS is pretty popular... and they're continuing to add expansion packs to it to keep it interesting.

Maybe StarCraft? That is a very popular game you can play, and you can play online for free as well.

Everquest, Ultima Online..

Diablo II + exp pack

any sports game (millions of games available)

Umm actually there is a new Dungeons & Dragons game that just became available that looks pretty awesome and you can play online! Pools Of Radiance at EBWorld (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categories/products/product.asp?pf_id=182289)

Help to get ya started :)

EBWorld is a good place to look around for available games, or maybe pcgamer.com ...

NEED FOR SPEED 4.....it's much better than NFS5...lots more fun...
even NFS3 is good but NFS4 is jus right.....personally i find flightsims boring after 15-30mins.....Another good racing game--Re-Volt !.....

Why is it that almost all of my games involve some sort of beating for another person/team.

Mob Rule
Axis & Allies
Swat 2
Civil War Generals 2
Starcraft
Earth 2001
Doom
Duke Nukem

As you can see, I really don't keep up on recent games anymore.

If you are looking for a fun flying game, I thoroughly recommend Microsoft's Crimson Skies.
Great fun, and set in a 1930s/1940s Republic serial mood. Depends what you mean by "no violence" - there's plenty of dogfights, but no gore :)
There are also giant airships, and extra points for performing stunts (flying through caves, under bridges etc.)
The game looks and plays really well, very easy to get into, and very addictive.
You can probably pick it up for less than $20 these days.

Also, racing games are fun: several mentioned the Need for Speed range, and I really enjoy the rallying stuff - Mobil Rally Championship and Colin McRae I and II are well worth the money if you like off-road stuff :)

3D Ultra Pinball - "oldie" but goodie
The racing games like Nascar4 have been getting better and better. Flying games like Flight Sim 2001 and Fly! have always been nice. Any sim or real time strategy game is bound to keep you entertained for a while too. Age of Empires, Starcraft, Command & Conquer, Sim City 3000 (2000 if you want classic). There's lots of fun to be had out there. :)

Mech Warrior 4,3,2
Mech Commander
Ground control
Starcraft
Monkey Island Series
Sam & Max
Full - Throttle

NFS 5 has far superior graphics and physics than NFS 4 but NFS 4 has Hot Pursuit and a variety of cars. Depends what you want more: every Porsche ever made + great realism
OR every car ever made (NOTE: about 12-13 come with the game but you can download ANY car - believe me, Hummers, limos, buses, sports cars, etc.:D) + aged graphics/physics + 2 player Hot Pursuit. Any of the MS flight sims are good. Jane's makes AWESOME military flight sims. I would say MS is the kind of civilian fight sims and Jane's is the king/queen of military flight sims (such as USAF).

there is some killing in Ages of Empires, but its not that bad.
Its a real good stratigy game of world domination, and M$ makes it!!

I never cared for Ages of Kings, to 3d, and funny looking, like me:p

Also the MYST series is good.
I need to dust it off and install it on my newer system.
Havent looked at it with anything better then a 333 AMD:rolleyes:
Need to see the graphics again with the 750 AMD and 52x CD rom:D

Clusterball is a great non violent mix of flight / fighter sim and strategy game. Its very fast paced and best of all, it is totally multiplayer and can be played by players all over the globe.

Check it out at: clusterball.com

They have a great free demo with two nice maps.

Probably some of the best non violant games out there are roller coaster tycoon (Very Addictive) and Tony Hawks Pro Skater2. Also some racing games are cool, Carmageddon (but you run people over in that).
