I'm looking for a good source, preferably on the web, for learning/tips on Windows 95 & 98 registry.

Anyone know of a good site?

I know that...but don't understand half of what I'm seeing. It's the deciphering problem.

Susan ~ I hope you find some of these useful.

http://search.microsoft.com/us/dev/ - when you get there, type in registry (the url afterwards is so long I thought it was a joke)

I've just ordered a 590 page book on the topic. I'll let you know if it lives up to my hopes about understanding the core of Windows knowledge.

Meanwhile, download (if you have not) RegEdit Expansion from www.regedit.com (http://www.regedit.com) . It expands RegEdit to include a log of, and direct access to, keys you have visited. Note: delete unused lines upon leaving.

The Help File is vague about accessing the log = "Combo Box" - Click on the down arrow at the right of the line below the Menu Bar. Use >Edit >Remove RegEditX Keys to clean up the log.
