1) looking for KT133 AMD motherboard with O/C menu in the bios instead of on the board. Are there any in the $70 range?

2) Or do I jump to the $100-125 range AND buy new ram

where is the bang for the buck so to speak.

I just installed an ABIT KT7A-RAID motherboard that uses my existing PC-133 RAM. The board cost $150 with shipping.

I have an AMD 1200 running 1375 MHz, 1 GByte RAM, and dual 20 GByte ATA-100 drives setup as a RAID0 stripe set.

MSI has the same feature, but I like their boards better, shop around for one of those too.

I'll check it out, thanks. right now it's between the ABIT KT7 and the Shuttle AK31. Price is a factor right now.

How 'bout a board that lets you use SDRAM now and switch to DDR later?

ALi chipset: ECS K7AMA aka PC-Chips M817LR, ASUS A7A266

SiS chipset: ECS K7S5A aka PC-Chips M830LR

VIA chipset: Matsonic has one.

Not much overclocking on any of those, though.
