Thanx ItsHuge 09-30-2001, 11:44 PM sounds like the refresh rate might be set to low Bovon 10-01-2001, 01:39 AM What resoultion and refresh rate are you using? CRX_SOON 10-01-2001, 08:35 PM i would love to tell you but i forgot how find the setting!! edit: found it my resolution is 1024x768 and my refresh is set to optimal what ever that is..... what is a good refresh rate? SpookyEddy 10-01-2001, 08:47 PM I would suggest 85Hz+ is a good refresh rate, however you must check what your monitor supports (manual or online) because setting the refresh rate to high can fry the monitor :( Hope this helps Eddy CRX_SOON 10-01-2001, 09:10 PM i just checked my manual and at my resalution 70mhz is high as it goes. SpookyEddy 10-01-2001, 09:29 PM I think you may be looking at the wrong value, as it should be in Hz not KHz. If you post the exact model number of the monitor I will look it up for you on the manufacturers website. Regards Eddy CRX_SOON 10-01-2001, 10:16 PM no i just made a mistake typing it. DanU 10-02-2001, 03:07 PM Are there any strong magnetic fields nearby? Electric motors, flourescent lights, speakers, power lines, etc. can cause the 'shaking' effect you describe. If you need a utility to force the refresh rate, try "Hztool". SysOpt.com
