Greetings !
My friend asked me to recommend him on a good DVD-ROM drive. It's been a while since I purchased my DVD, and I'm not really following the news in this field.
I read few reviews and now think about one of the Asus drives. I didn't find any rewies of it's latest 16x model. Got any ?
Also, I need the drive to be "Multi Zone", i.e. it will read discs from all the 5 ares of the globe.
I got some LG 816D 16x model to test, switched zones with few different discs which belonged to different zones, and DVD got "locked" on Zone1 (the latest I used) after 5 switches, and it can't be reversed. I tried DVGenie but it doesn't seem to work with this drive. I can't re-flash it's BIOS, neither.
So I need :
- Multi Zone
- Flashable
- Good performance with all kinds of discs (CD/CD-R/CD-RW/DVD of coz :) )
- Digital-Out
If I missed something, please add whatever I might need.
Price doesn't really matters.
