Can you modify volume levels of tracks that you ripped with Adaptec software?? Say I create a playlist of multiple tracks from different cd's, is there a way to level the sound output before I "burn" the cd?? And, if not Adaptec stuff, what would work?? Thanks.

Yes you can with many programs but I think that Adaptec doesn't have that. I don't know quite sure because I don't use it. I still use AudioGrabber for everything (don't need anything better) http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif.

Thanks. Just loaded it down. Hopefully it has good help docs.
I think the Adaptec software can do what you want, but off hand I cannot remember how.

On older versions of Adaptec I didn't have that option as I can remember.I know it has audio extraction directly from CD-ROM (works only with newer ones)but I'm not sure does it have volume leveling integrated in that extraction too.

What I was able to find out is Adaptec's EZCD Creator is shipped with my Plextor 121032. However, in order to do the things that I want to do, like use their sound editor, etc., you have to upgrade to their "DELUXE" version, which coincedentally JUST happens to cost $80. ****, what a ripoff.
The answer:
The sound leveling function is possible using the Sound Editor with Adaptec's 4.02d upgraded version.
I'd sure like to find a free copy of one that's pretty good. Anybody know of one?? Thanks.
