has anybody sold this person anything yet? have you got your money? cash,pay pal, money order? how did the deal go?
I'm just wondering.
as most of you that visit user to user saw I was going to sell him some small Hdd's. and I backed out. it wasn't because he asked about me as a seller/trader.. I thought it was very strange that he didn't want me to ship to his home, that maybe I should ship to his mom's work addy, that his parents might not like strangers sending him mail. gave me a spooky feeling.. maybe I'm just being Paranoid, but I've been burned befor.. {not here at sysopt} and I decided not to take the chance. maybe V_I_R_U_S is ok, I'm not saying he is not, I don't know... there were just to many if's for me..

No, I haven't sold or traded before, but I was going to ship first anyway so you didn't have to worry. And I am just as concerned as you are about getting burned.

But, I don't know if my parents would have opposed getting it sent to my house or not. I have only mentioned it to them. Also, my mom and dad both work, and I usually get all UPS, FedEx, and USPS mail in the afternoon about 1:00 PM. But my mom doesn't get home till 4:00 PM, and its not a good thing to have hard drives sitting outside in the rain and the chilly weather, if you know what I mean. Thats the main reason I wanted it shipped to my mom's work. I don't think they will mind much about me sending money first, but I don't know. I would just tell them that if I got burned, that would be my problem, and then I would never be able to ship first again.

V_I_R_U_S: From what I read you sound like a nice person who is wanting to make sure of trading. BUT it seems that just about all of your 70+ posts have been in the trader forum. Since you have arrived, you have been pretty much in this forum. Now I am not saying that you shoud go to other forums but it does look a little hooky... People who buy/sell/trade a lot are bound to get burnt and once you do you are going to get VERY cautious! You look for certain things. For example, in one post you made mention that you were going to try and save up all your money for a dual P2 Server and you wanted the seller to hold it for 3 mos. if possible, then in another post you are wanting to buy several hard drives, a new mobo, etc. Things like that tend to scare people off. Now myself, I am no trader. I only buy a few things to get me by and I have had EXCELLENT results thus far. But I am watch who I deal with too. I want you here contributing to this forum and I think you really want to be here. You just need to remember that when it comes to $$$, people are more careful now. GOOD LUCK with your deals here...

Well, I know, I have noticed myself that I have been posting in this forum alot, but accually, I just started posting in this forum last week. I only have about 15 posts in here. I am usually in the Motherboard forum. But anyway, I don't even have a confirmed deal yet, but I will be getting back to the people that I am thinking about buying from.
