Is there a way to calculate connections rate from download rate -- or some other way to verify connection rate???

You can double click on the two monitor looking icons nect to the clock in windows98 if you are using-dial up 56k modem. It will show you the current speed you are connected at. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Unfortunately - or fortuantely, I have DSL and your suggestion is not an option. Any other ideas????
