Where would I look to find full length movies for download?

I would prefer to download from the newsgroup as that would be the fastest source. If anyone uses USENET, then what groups should I look in?

And if not USENET then where else would one find movies?

I think imesh.com you can download them. And also on leech programs (Morpheus, etc) you could find movies.

Actually

You can download MP3's and movies. Just not ones that are copyrighted. The same for programs. There are many programs you can download for free and legal (Winzip, Acrobat Reader, Anything at CNET (www.downloads.com) , etc.....

There are many services to DL movies (non-copyrighted of course). I have no tventured into newsgroups, but IRC channels are supposedly another good place to find stuff. Everything I have gotten video-wise has been from peer-to-peer service. Fairly slow but easy to use.

I used to get movies from newsgroups all the time. Search for groups with DIVX, MPG, movies, SMR, etc.. in the name. SOrry but I can't remember the full names.

It's strange that my ISP blocks me from getting mp3's but not movies. alt.binaries.movies.shadowrealm and alt.binaries.movies.divx has some if you have access. @home used to have this group.

Hmm they unblocked them!:D:D

ummm I wont tell anyone I'm 90% done downloading Hackers right now. Direct Connect it the place IMO

Please keep any references to downloading copyrighted materials private. We at sysopt do not condone it and cannot allow discussion of it here for legal reasons. It is not to censor, just to keep our butts from being put in a sling (well not mine, but inet's) . Even greyed out text discussion of warez or movie DLs is not OK.

Thanks for your compliance.

I'm not trying to be rude here. I am just curious.
How could sysopt or anyone get into ANY trouble for simply TALKING about file sharing?

So what kind if any could anyone get into for talking about then?
Do we not have freedom of speech anymore? Maybe I dont know the law, I just dont see how talking is illegal.

I hate to be on the "wrong" side of the argument, but I kinda understand what japerritt is saying.

I mean, I could say, I'm 90% done smoking a joint right now, or I'm 90% done stealing a car right now, and yet there's nothing illegal about saying those phrases.

But something I think japerritt doesn't understand is that we don't have "freedom of speech" here. This is a privately owned web site and the "freedoms" we are alotted here are up to the owner and their administration.

JaYsin, now that you mention it; yes I do remember. My ISP also had them blocked along with mp3's but not anymore. I guess I should have checked when they changed news servers a while ago.

I see what you are saying Out. The way that Sysopt can be legally responsible is if copyright owners decide to prosecute those that discuss how to crack this or where to DL that. Sites like this are up and down constantly (when hosted inside the US, like Sysopt is.) It is safer to not discuss these items publically.

I agree totally, I mean whats the big deal on saying your d/ling something. Not like I'm giving out dirrect links to warez. On the other hand as Out has said, its prefectly ok for me to say I'm 90% done smoking my crack pipe.

My point exactly. Another example to add to yours. I can tell you where to get that weed you talk of, but if you go get it thats your **** not mine.
I do understand we do not have freedom of speech to a degree here at sysopt, this is a private message board as you said I respect that.
If sysopt doesnt condon discussion for "moral" reasons I will respect that too.
What I dissagree with is that we are being told to stop a disscussion due to legal issues and when its perfectly legal. Again, This is just my opinion and I'm no lawyer.
