I am replacing my SIMM Ram with DIMM in a 430TX board. Can I use PC100 or will I have to use PC66. The reason I was thinking of the PC100 is it seems to be a little cheaper than the PC66.

Roy 06-21-1999, 09:32 PM If your board accepts SDRAM DIMMs, then any higher rated sticks will work in a slower environment. Give some thought to PC100s rated at CAS Latency 2. Many of these run at 133 and will work with the next (interim) generation of processors, i.e. the "Coppermine" PIIIs. After that, Intel will have imposed new RAM standards ~ probably RAMBUS. For a good understanding of the subject, study the SDRAM Survey at www.bxboards.com (http://www.bxboards.com) . Then study it some more. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif SysOpt.com
