I got a LiteON 12x10x32 with the bundled Nero proggy. While Nero seems to do it's job, I just like the features and the ease of use with Direct CD.

Anything else that needs to be done? CloneCD all the way. ;)

Anyone else?

I agree,, NERO 5.0 is fine but NERO 5.5 seems odd to me.

A removal and installation of EZ Creator by Adaptec got things back to normal.

whats so odd with it?? its not like its really that much different from the nero 4x days. guess its all preference. my vote goes with nero for cd burning, clone cd for backups, roxio for label creating. :)

ps. direct cd is pretty cool i have to admit.

For ease of use - I prefer Easy CD Creator 5.0

For hard to Burn - I like Clone CD

To me Nero seems to be almost foolproof, I have only made one coaster so far and it was my stupidity that caused it!
But like RayH said use what works!
I used to use EZ but I have seen the light!

EasyCd has a more user friendly interface than Nero, but beware if you are using XP, stay with Nero. Roxio doesn't have a patch for EasyCD 5 on XP yet and lots of problems especially with DirectCD. Otherwise , backups-clonecd is the best.

Ease Cd Creater! I have never forgiven Ease CD Creator from the days when I had to reinstall total systems becouse it was on my computer! An uninstall was not enogh.

Nero 5.5 does every thing but drive me to work. Since I work in a home office, that's not much of a problem.
