I am looking to buy some things from this forum, but I have never purchased anything from here. And what is an evaluation? I want to know how to trade, sell, and buy, without getting cheated buy the other guy. (sending the product but not getting my money, me sending the money and not getting my product, ect.) And if this is done by some sort of trading service, what are the reliable ones. Basically, how do I make a SAFE, RELIABLE trade?

This is probably the best information you'll get on the subject from our "horny lady" (http://www.sysopt.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=77458)
Just kidding about the horny part...wait, what's that coming out of head;)
You can always e-mail or PM people that have been around Sysopt for a while also! I'm sure they will be more then happy to give their opinions and lend a hand!

Ok. I am beggining to understand. I now know what evaluations are. I think I see how to ship (one person sends an item, other person gets it then sends money) But what is cross shipping? Is that when the money and the item are sent simultaniously? I don't like this, I am now paranoid of trolls, and, it said on the troll hunter site, not to send first to newbies. Oh cruel world. So do you normally pay with paypal or something. Oh well, to anyone out there who I am trying to buy from, I would like to say that I am not a freaking troll like half the people in this world. I will send money (or item) as soon as I get my money (or item) or we can cross ship, as soon as I find out what it is and decide to risk it.
Yes, both parties sending at the same time is "cross shipping", and it works fine IF you know & trust one another.
If you read Socalgal's advise and read the info on the links in her pst, you'll be OK.
Of particular interest for new traders is hint #17 in the User-to-User, Biz-to-Biz, Trading Hints
(http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/faq/faq6.html)
17: If you are new to the boards and would like to play it safe, and since you’re going to be expected to ship or pay 1st, try to deal with the long term established traders here for the first couple of trades. You’ll quickly build a really good rep without the risk. Then later you can deal with unknowns and ask them to ship or pay you 1st. This is in no way intended to imply that new people are less honest than the older members, it’s rather just a safety net suggestion.
Payment is done via whatever method agreed, PayPal, money order, check, or anything both are comfortable with.
I can't really think of any advise that hasn't been better covered in those topics already referenced. :D:D
