I got Norton ghost utility with my Soyo motherboard. With that in mine I thought I would be able to save "disk to disk" with this software. Unfortunately it only gives me the option to save "disk to image".
"Disk to disk" cannot be highlighted by me. I've got two disks installed and saved one other time with a trail copy of Ghost that has since time out and expired. Does anyone know if Norton restrict the use of software when licenced to motherboard manufaturers such as Soyo or is there something I don't understand about this software. Imaging would be find for backup, but a mirror image of files on another disk is something I would like to have.

Am I making sense?

I've used Ghost for quite some time and always have had the disk to disk option so you must have a restricted copy. You should be able to use partition to partition and get the same result. Good luck!

Tried that also but gives me "partition to image" only. Won't let me highlight "partition to partition.":(

Yeah, I've got that too. Weird that they'd disable that function as it's surely the most useful & there's not much point without it...

Still, at least it's free. I use it for backups all the time.

Ghost is not seeing the 2 disks. What partitions/disks/OS do you have? Did you partition/format with the drive overlay program which comes with the drives ? If you did, then thats the problem. Post details so we can try and see if there is an answer.
