Hi, I have been using a broadband cable internet service for about a week and am hoping you can give me some info on a problem i am having.
After i have been using the internet for an hour or more, it is 'stopping' loading. I can neither access the WWW or outlook express. However the online signal is still on . If i close all my app's and re-boot the PC, its ok again for a while.
Is this a problem with the service or is there something i can do here to help

If you are using road runner this is what I have to do to get mine back up and running. start, run type in winipcfg, click ok,more info, if you don't see your ip address click the dropdown arrow and select the next choice, look at the lease times if they are the same you can try release all then renew all if that doesn't work you'll have to go to the cable co. they tell me its the dhcp server in that case. hope this helps barry I have the same trouble since June 19 yesterday was the fourth trip by a service tech. Also you can check your speed at www.dslreports.com (http://www.dslreports.com) you can print out the results to give you an argument point.
