well for good gameing you will need 128 meg of ram if it were me building it i would go with a

Duron 650 cpu
Asus A7V motherboard
Ge Force GTS 2 64 DDR video card
128 meg PC 133 case 2 ram
Sound Blaster X Gammer sound card
Get 300 watt Athlon approve Power supply in a full atx tower

there is a cpu now

no that should do it your grandson will love you if you get him a sys like that then can upgrade later on in the futur as the motherboard will run past the one gig mark and then some and up to 2 gig of ram

MORE than enough - hopefully he loves you anyway, but if he didn't he will after that!

minor typo in the suggestion:

the RAM you're looking for is CAS 2, not case.

Lucky grandson thats all I can say. Wish I had grandparents in the US, do you know how much computer parts cost over here!!!!!

~Dave~

P.s. Care to adopt me as a grandson and bring me some parts, heck I'll even put the systems together for you and install all the software if you do http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

To avoid a rude awakening check with customs declaring something incorectly can be costly. Also used parts and or systems usually pay much less in import fees. Might pay to assemble it here ,use it a short time with dated files on the hard drive to prove it is used. Some computer parts cannot be exported, also some software.Oh yes carry all your reciepts to prove original cost. In other words cya barry
