Help!
I need a motherboard for a Compaq Presario 4770. Its an AT board with proprietary characteristics so I can't really use a generic one. Thanks for any and all replies.

Oh god, I feel awful. I just stripped my 4770 down and tossed it. Was just too old for me, and I was able to sell all the parts out of it, including the floppy drive and cache card I put in. The only problem with it (other than its speed and stupid compaq BIOS) was that the onboard sound puked 3 months into owning it. I had bought an AWE 64 Gold to replace it.

Consequently, that's what got me into working on computers. Sorry I can't be of any help, but I just thought I'd share.

Oh, BTW, it's not an AT board at all, but it is proprietary. It uses AT power connectors plus one auxilary power connector. And it has that blasted Riser card slot so no standard motherboard will ever fit in there. Plus, all the integrated components (audio, video) run down the entire length of the board. Not one of Compaq's better design ideas.
