Need help on window player

Im using wins ME & Im trying to open a avi file (video clip) using win player in my computer but It wont work , so I download win player 7.1 & still doesnt work.any idea ..thanks:rolleyes:

go to www.apple.com and download the free quick time player.

Sounds like it could be a divx file go to DivX.com (http://www.divx.com/features.php) and download the new codecs.

It could also be a bad avi file. Check that it runs on someone elses machine.

The av1 file you are trying to open with windows media player may be of a different file type.You will have to associate the file with the windows player.In windows ME using your right mouse button click on the av1 file that you are trying to open with the windows media player.Click on the properties tab and then click on the change button.Then scroll down the different file types until you come to the windows media player logo.Highlight the media player logo .and accept the change over to the new file type.You should then be able to open the file with the windows media player:p( access the file using windows explorer)
