how can I further optimize and speed up my pc with these specs:
is there a possibility to still make this pc faster w/out replacing any hardware the specs are:

VX PRO+ CHIPSET UDMA33
PENTIUM MMX 225MHZ
96 MB SDRAM
1 MB S3 TRIO VIDEO CARD
16 BIT SOUNDCARD
3 HARDDISK
56X CD-ROM
WINDOWS MILLENIUM EDITION (bugy)
my system is clean I reformated it, defragment, and scandisk it

the processor speed is already at it's fullest cause I cant overclock it anymore, and the mobo cant cache all the physical memory installed.

BTW will i get much faster speed if I increased my mobo's cache which is 512k from 64MB to 128MB

my problem is this I have a VX PRO+ UDMA33 mobo runs at 512k cache, sysoft told me that
Warning W2510: Chipset may not be able to cache all the physical memory installed.
Tip T2536:
System has no SMBus/i2c/BMB bus support.

how can i make my mobo cache all the physical memory in my mobo, i have two RAM installed (1 64 MB and 1 32 MB SDRAM)I know this is possible cause one guy told me that in the bios dated 04/30/98-537+UMC8670F-2A5LDH09C-00. somebody told me that i can cache upto 128Mb of RAM. The default setting caches only 64Mb.
Tell me how how to do it pls

Theres not much you can do with that system. All those parts are pretty old and come as-is and are untweakable, at least not much. You could dig in the BIOS and mess with some settings, but you would risk more than you would gain.
What you could do, if the harddrives are relatively used, is clean up the files to make file access faster. Regclean and Easycleaner are two programs i use alot to do that.

After that, do a nice long defrag. That should speed up the harddrives a good deal if you havent defragged in a while.

Off topic but...
......Alex? Is that you?!?

Please do not multiple post. Multiple posting only makes things more confusing. Thanks...

would it make my pc faster if i enable my mobo to cache up to 128 MB cause my mobo caches only 64 MB ould it give me more speed in PC games?

And btw changing back to win 95 from win me, can it give my pc a faster speed in PC games, and ordinary applications?

I'm currently playin diablo 2 the game runs fine but much slower with sounds, I gain a little speed turning the sound off. also red alert 2. will these games run much faster if I switched back to win 95?

BTW will my pc get a little faster if i modify my bios to cache 128 MB of RAm, I am currently running at 96 MB RAM, some guy told me that my mobo only caches 64 MB, would it be faster if I enabled the cache to cache up to 128 MB?

well my system has 96 MB of RAM but i have doubts if what will be the result if i enabled the mobo to cache up to 128 MB, my mobo currently caches only 64 MB, and it doesnt cache all my physical memory.

BTW does system slows down if the physical memory isnt cached to the fullest?
