I need the scsi cd-rom driver for a Toshiba
XM3401TA. I cannot get out to the windrivers site today. Does anyone have any idea where else I could locate this driver. The toshiba web site is no help either. But maybe I am just looking in the wrong place. Thanks in advance.

I would think that all you might need would be a driver for the SCSI adapter and a properly configured device I.D. & proper termination, then the operating system should be able to access any attached drives.
If you go into the SCSI BIOS is the drive properly detected? I have heard a rumor that when using some odd SCSI adapters it was necesary to add a line to autoexec.bat/ config.sys files in order to get the drive recognized by Windows 9x, but I have never had that experience.
I hope you are able to resolve this issue, sorry not to be of much help..

I have 16 computers that were donated to our school. They were completely wiped before we got them and no one really knows what components are in them. I am having to figure it out. The SCSI card is Adaptec but not sure what drives to download. The drive is detected but the CD-ROM will not work. I think you are right on about having to add a line to the autoexec.bat and to config.sys but which driver to add is the problem.
The computers are by Intergraph Computer Systems and were built to government specs. The are a pentium TD-3.

It looks like CMonster is right....
Toshiba recommends going to the SCSI controller vendor for the drivers your looking for:

Since you using an Adaptec controller this link may have what you need:
