can't play cdr

i am using a phillips cdrw and musicmatch to make music cdr.

i can play cdr in everything but my car cd player.

the same cdr will play in my friends car cd player.

what am i doing wrong?

If your CD-R will play successfully in other CD players but NOT yours, the time has come to try a different brand of CD-R. Some players are "picky". Avoid generics. Try brand names you recognize such as TDK, Maxell, Fuji, etc.

BTW, take a look at the color of the dye in the CD-R you have used. If it is blue, choose one of the above brands that will be green in color. If it should turn out that blue works better than green in your player, choose Verbatim's DataLifePlus PREMIUM CD-R's. Good luck.

What mode are you burning the CDR's? Ty using Mode-1, not Mode-2...

he is using maxell 74 minute cdr and the color on the back is green.

i don't know what mode he is using.

where would he find out what mode he is using?
