Just built a system for a friend running an Epox 8KHA mobo,
( VIA KT266 chipset ), 1.4 GHz(266) Athlon, and CardExpert
GeForce2 MX 400 64MB graphics card.
It seems Diablo II and a football game are not working.(Diablo
plays OK in 2D mode, I am told).
I have installed VIA ver. 4.29 chipset drivers, and used the
standard graphics drivers that came with the video card; how-
ever I was a bit confused when asked to choose between the
"VSD" or "miniport" drivers.(I'm running WinME,but when I
looked at the readme.exe file, it said to to use the miniport
w/ Win98 only.
Does anyone know which are the correct drivers I should be using? I plan to update the VIA drivers to ver. 4.33, which I
believe to be the latest.
How do I get this card to work correctly?
The Gainward site has updated drivers, but no information.
What is "WHQL" and "WDM"??
Thanks for any help.

Maybe I missed something, but what happens when you run Diablo, and the football game? Any errors, or just what happens would be extremely helpfull!

Bob:
I believe in Diablo II, the screen goes to black, as do most
when the resolution/settings get changed by the game,i.e., he
gets the screen to choose 2D or 3D ; when he selects 3D, the screen goes to black and stays there. Once again, the 2D
plays fine. I understand the football game will play fine for awhile, and then crash.
I think that I have the wrong combination of drivers installed,
but I'm not exactly sure which are the correct ones.(?)
Thanks for your continued help.
