Could u outline what the actual problem your encountering is?

How do i change the bus speed to 100mhz. I know celerons cant change the multiplier. I dont know how to do that. thas the problem. I will over clock it to about 600mhz. since its a 400mhz cup. 6 x 100mhz= 600mhz

U have to change it on the motherboard, either by changing dip-switches or by changing it in the BIOS. You'll have to consult ur motherboard manual.....if u can't look into a program called 'softFSB'. Never used it personnally but others here have.

How do I change the bios or dip-swiches?

Restart your computer. I believe you would press Del to get into the BIOS, maybe F1. Enter the CPU soft menu. Go to the FSB choice and press PgUp or PgDn to get the desired FSB. ESC to main menu, exit and save. If you have dipswitches on your board that specifies FSB then you have to refer to your motherboard manufacturers manual.

I press del to get into the bios but i dont have a CPU soft menu. and i cant see where the settings for it is. I dont have dip chips so knowwhat. Do i change the bios to a new one or somthing? so i can be able to change the settings.

Softmenu is only in abit boards darknyt:)

Well u could have a board designed to auto-detect everything, search ur BIOS thoroghly but if u can't find it then just try SoftFSB....

;) I'm trying to use those programs such as softfsb and cpufsb. But they dont have my crystal PLL#. Its an ICS # 9148F-08.
Plus I want to put it to 100mhz but it only can go to 83 mhz. So What do i do?

Hellmund

Well unfortunately unlike the ol' days when the crystal was easily replaceable now they're soldered to the board and inside a lil' container. It would appear as if u reached the boards limit....

It's will be extremely difficult to overclock a 400MHz celeron to 600MHz. Intel stopped .25um celerons at 533MHz. All celerons after that used the .18um process.

Also, the LX and EX chipsets only officially support a 66MHz FSB and a 1/1 AGP and 1/2 PCI divider. Even if you do replace the PLL to get up to 100MHz, your AGP and PCI buses will be wildly overclocked. I've never heard of any PCI cards tolerating 50MHz. You hard drives will hate you, too.

Overclocking the bus to 75MHz should be within reach. Consider yourself lucky if you can get up to 83MHz with any semblance of stability. If you want 100MHz, get a new motherboard.
