I would like to know if anyone can tell me how the best way is to overclock an AMD k6-475. Also when I look at my system resources my machine shows right at 98% free but when I log onto the net it jumps down to like 78 to 83% is there a reason for the big loss in Resources??

It's probably memory. If anything. My PC (950Mhz Duron 256MB's pc-2100 DDR, 40GB 7200 ATA/100 HD) runs normally at 73-80% free. Your 93% is really good!
As for the best way to OC. Raising the jumpers a little is the best way. What type of motherboard do you own? How much you can OC really depends on that!

Just raise your CPU Bus clock speed to 100 and it should boot right up to 500, no problem.Or raise you Multiplier to 5.5 and it will run at 522 Mhz.
Assuming that 475Mhz= 95 clock speed @ 5 multiplier. Good Luck :)
