My grandparents bought me a computer for Christmas last year and the motherboard is dead. :( I've tried everything. Even double and triple checked the power connections, troubleshot by removing cards, clearing bios. Everything and to no avail.

This motherboard is made by FIC. Any ideas? Also, company that the computer was bought from will not service this unit, despite the one year warranty that FIC and the computer store promised.

Any ideas?:confused:

Are you sure its the MB? Have you checked the power supply? Maybe thats what went.

The fans spin, hard drives come up to speed but nothing else. Black screen, no led's, nothing. Power supply is good for an athlon. Swapped another motherboard in its place and it worked fine.

Any ideas?

196 meg Ram

Aopen 52x Atapi
Maxtor 20gig 7200
