OK, I just got a CD-burner a few days ago, and I have to record some music CDs, but I don't know if I would need any special CDs or can I just use a regular CD-R.

PS.:I want to be able to listen those CDs on any stereo (i.e. Home, car)

Thank you!

cd r is what you want, I burn cd's all the time and they work in all stereo's I've seen, plus I buy the cheapest of the cheap (comp usa bulk) I even use it in my dads stereo which was made waaaaaaaaaay back in the eighties

DON'T waste your money on the more expensive "special" music CD-Rs. There is no difference.

Also, not all CD-Rs work good in cd players. I have Imation CD-Rs that work fine in any cd player. I bought Memorex CD-Rs. They don't work in my portable cd player when it is [i]on anti skip mode[i]. So, be careful.

I agree that no one brand of CD-R medium works best in all CD writers.
IMHO ,go out and by a couple of disks from a bunch of diff. brands and prices. Find the one that gives the best results with your burner and playback equipment. Then shop for spindle prices on that brand.

Really expensive stereo systems sometimes wont recognize top quality cd-r ,Buy cheap then it dosnt matter if you make a few coasters . skai
