This is a huge jump for me.
The only video cards I've had were super old who knows what.
Or junky on-board "shared" with the RAM, video.

This is cool, no trails, no hesitations,
Great Color and Depth.

The free isp banner moves when ya ask it to.

Upon hearing all the comments about it getting Hot, I hooked up a 2" fan on it first thing.

Don't laugh at my cpu, poor little amdk6-2 500(56.00)

Well, hopefully this will assist in those mega, mb Picture file transplants.

Got one little prob to iron out, the resolution is on 840x640, NO Move, I'll read da book

later gang

Don't mock the AMD K6/2, i have one and their great cpu's.
Also have you installed the correct driver for you monitor?? If you haven't you should becasue you can't change the resolution on the V3 without them. I have the V3 3000 AGP and without my monitor drivers its useless.

Good Luck - Rob http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Yeh I have the K6-450 with V3 2000 and its still pretty good. That should do a lot better than 480x640, mine is great at 1024x768, first make sure the card drivers are installed properly, then check the monitor drivers if default monitor wont do it for you. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Congradulations on the Voodoo 3. I was in your position a couple of months ago, suffering with old, inadequate cards (ISA stuff, Trident stuff, the dreaded 6326...). A V3 2000 PCI fixed all that for me too. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

You think you have a poor little CPU? I'm still running my overvlocked PII 266. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

I was in the same boat as you, Doc, for awhile. I finally got a new comp with a "real" video card.

Except it was a bit bigger upgrade from an onboard 4mb - I got a Geforce2 64mb http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Glad to hear everyone likes em, ya know, I DID look in vid cards, and the reviews much before a purchase.

Sure you all saw it in Steal and Deals, I feel OK with this for $80, then maybe I'll get the $30 rebate,, hope hope

I got this un at Office Depot, cost $5 more, but it's in Hand.

After 10 days, my Voodoo V2 1000 came in Today.
You'd just know it, I waited and waited, so after 10 days, I called.
The shipping conformation on their site said I DIDN'T have an order,,, Huh?
2 hrs after the call, UPS pulls up, wouldn't

But it's here, resting peacefully on the couch, all orange and stuff. I plan to line my pewter room walls with neato boxes, hd's , vid cards, para ports, scanner boxes, whatever.. I'm a 15yr old trapped in a bout 50 year old person(w/30yr old body) http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif help help, let me OUT!

Oh, the 500-AMD crack, that is the FASTEST cpu I own. It on the el-junko PC Chips mobo it rocket quick.
With the 400 amd it was LOTS quicker than my IBM 475 (100fsb, 13.2@7200 IBM, 64 RAM) factory model that retailed for 1100 in Nov99.(valueamerica 574 shpd.
The Half-PricePC junk now has bout $450 in it, w'OS.
I've been real pleased with the amd line. My 333HP was a piece of defecation But now got a 75mhz fsb and a 333@366 2.5v. Kewl,, it is very responsive.

Got in the junk Canon scanner $45, let ya know..
