This may be against this and if it is I apologize.

I am looking for a site that will slam me with a ton of Popups when I go there. I am instructing a some classes on internet usage and would like to have this as a demonstration. I have come acrossed many in my travels and never bookmarked them (of course).

Preferably not ones with X-rated material.

Thanks

J :)

... sites containing pornography or sexually oriented material should not be posted at SysOpt. Anyone providing such a link should use email or Private Message, but keep in mind that jman did indicate a preference for "non-porn" sites - Fingers

Look around on those free wallpaper sites, they are noted for that kind of stuff

<edit> ** link deleted- see the note I added in jman's original message - Fingers

I remember him too (http://www.sysopt.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79163)
;)

Popups are a result of JavaScript. If you have to visit sites that use popups, just add that site to your restricted list, and make certain that JavaScript is either disabled or set to prompt in that security zone.

Geez, hope I don't get banned. Just trying to help him out with his request. And I did mention in my post that I got slammed with pop ups.

Didn't notice the porn sites. 1,000 apoligies to all whom I offended

I wouldn't worry, Sanman. ;)

I suggest that ppl submit their URLs to JMan via PM or email and not post them here, and honor his request of no X-rated content.

We don't need anyone possibly using this info to the potential disruption of this board at some time in the future.

LOL, no Sanman, you're not in any immediate danger... :)

I already posted the reason why you're link was removed FAQ #4 (http://www.sysopt.com/forum/faq/faq4.html#Pol1)

That guy spammed the forums with multiple messages and posted a link to a malicious website.

I expected pop-up's but not the type that came up. And not that many! Took a good bit to get them all off my screen. It was the nature of the pop-up's that  me...

Good gracious.. The link to that other thread was hilarious.. But I bet it wasn't @ the time it happened.

[edit] if you want I could create a page for you with a ton of pop ups and all of them be clean. Just let me know. That would be fun.. LOL

That is one of the more polite threads. The bouncing IE windows JavaScript has a history of upsetting people.

Phew, that's a relief Fingers. I couldn't imagine life without Sysopt. It already takes up about 90% of my time online. I was too busy closing the windows to notice what they said.
Lesson learned:o under any other circumstances I never would have posted that link.

So as I write this, I picture myself towing the little *deleted* on a chain, naked, behind my boat, doing about 15 knots, through shark infested waters, tied hand & foot, to a bloody, rancid, goat carcass, while the entire crew at SysOpt takes potshots from the shore, with painball guns, loaded with iodine and upholstry tacks. Ahhhhhhhh.

Feels better now!

crockett, just hit ALT+F4 about 100 times and it will close your first link.

no need to do that when 1 puch of ctrl+alt+del works just fine
