Just wishing this old worn out sailor could be part of this great movement, a movement the world has never seen and ,I dare say, will never see again. This is going to be "The Big One" and I hope we're all prepared for a new world order. God give us strenght and resolve to acheieve the goals at hand and make the sacrifices that must be made. God Bless America socalgal 09-20-2001, 10:24 PM I was very pleased with President Bush's demonstration of determination against our enemies (terrorists and those who harbor, aid and abet them). I think he showed leadership and heart and I appreciated his encouragement and resolve to do whatever it takes for however long it takes. We will be in this for a long time, and we will all need to sacrifice, at the very, very least some comfort, to help our country work toward and realize our goals in this fight, and to remain strong in our economic markets. Sacrificing some comfort seems like such a small sacrifice, indeed. Many thousands have already paid the ultimate sacrifice in this war. Many more have already been and will be called to duty and to sacrifice much for our country and for our way of life. I know that I, as a citizen of the USA and a proud American, will not even think twice about supporting our President and our military in these efforts. Bravo to our men and women in our armed forces. We are with you in heart and spirit! I just took a moment to reflect at how lucky I really am, by but an accident of birth, to be a citizen of the Unites States of America. I applaud and say thank you to those countries who are with us in this fight. Long live Freedom from fear and terrorism. I especially like when he gets that little grin; you just KNOW he's thinking "dead or alive" when he gets like that! His speech was truly a defining moment in the history of the world. But actions speak louder than words, and I hope we have the smarts to outsmart the terrorists, lest we end up like the Russians in Afghanistan. If you guys were honest, you would admit to his shortcomings just as much as you praise him, that would be a true sign of character. There was actually very little I hadn't already heard on the radio or news. During the Presidential campaign, it was suggested that GW's finest moments as Governor came during difficult times in Texas, and unfortunately, we've begun to see this also played out Nationally. I'm aware that it's not difficult to garner the support of Americans right now... the true test will come in several months (or years), but I have the utmost faith in our President. George W Bush has the resolve to see this war through to the end... WE must also share and maintain his determination.
