Hi i am building a new system and i was wondering about 2 motherboards.
Abit - KG7
or
Asus - A7V266
Which one would u pick? Are these good choices for overclocking?
I want to get the AMD 1.33 or 1.4 ATHLON
Also, does the KG7 support the 1.4 AMD ATHLON. I checked the Abit site and it says 1.33+, but there is no new bios for that board.
Processor - 1.33 or 1.4 AMD ATHLON
Ram - 2 sticks 256MB DDR PC2100
Power Supply - 350 is this enough?
Video - ATI Radeon 64DDR VIVO
Also, i will be overclocking so any CPU fans u might suggest would also be nice.
Any help would be appreciated.

SOKO, I have had no experience with the asus. But I do really like Abit boards. I am using a KT7A-Raid, I have a KT7 in my sons computer. My brother has a KT7A. and they all overclock very well. Reviews I have read on the KG7 are stellar. All soft menu adjustments.
I'm also very happy with ABIT mainboards. All my home systems are built on ABIT mainboards. KT7A, BE6-2, and VP6... Also a BX-133 for one of my work systems...

Forget Asus. I have never been so disapointed with a mobo as I've been with my A7V.
Look at Epox 8K7A+. It's priced lower then the ones you mentioned and it's hard to beat. Rock stable. Amazing overclockers board.
If you're fix on those two then go with Abit KG7. It's new so I can't quarantee you anything, but it seems like a really nice one. The few things I noticed is that capacitors are close to the CPU so a large HS might not fit. http://www.overclockers.co.nz/ocnz/mobo/kg7/hsf.jpg
And remember you MUST have registered ram to use its 4 DDR slots.
Epox 8K7A+ is still the best in my book.:)

I am sorry to hear that, but the A7V was (and still is) one of the fastest, but most importantly stable socket A platforms.
I strongly suggest ASUS in between the two, but other companies build motherboards as well.
If I was on the market for a DDR motherboard now I would firstly wait for VIA's KT266A.
It will be cheaper than the 760 and at least as fast.
If you're not overclocking nothing beats ECS motherboards aroung the SIS735 chipset (very fast too).
If you are, also consider Epox. Cheap, with great quality and all overcloking / RAID gismos.
As always I will warn you that Abit has not the quality of any of the motherboards I mentioned here (Asus, ECS, Epox).
