I'd like to get NFS 5 possibly, seeing it's less than $20 (I think). How many cars come with the game and, just as the subject title asks, can I dl user made cars that are not Porsche?

Warthog Barney 09-20-2001, 06:44 PM Just about every model and year Porsche comes with the game, but there aren't any official non-Porsche cars. Perhaps unofficial, but I haven't seen any. OuTpaTienT 09-20-2001, 10:57 PM Now why would you want anything else? I think it's not too far off the mark Warty to say that Porsches are to driving enjoyment as Klipsch are to listening enjoyment. Almost every Porsche ever made. Nothing more is needed! Have ya played NFS:Porsche yet? If you haven't, then I'm telling you it's a must. Have you played NFS:High Stakes? Did you like it? If so, just keep in mind that NFS:HS is a steaming pile of doggy dung when compared to NFS:Porsche. If it's under $20 then just get it. Don't question it. Just get it. Warthog 09-20-2001, 11:01 PM I played the demo and thought the physics, graphics and everything else was top notch. Porsche is definately one of the brands I would like to see - Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Lambourghini...hopefully another NFS will give that to me:) Warthog Barney 09-20-2001, 11:09 PM In all the NFS's Porsches were the best cars, so why bother with other brands? :D The tracks in NFS 5 get boring after a while, but all the different cars, great graphics and handling make you keep playing it. OuTpaTienT 09-20-2001, 11:15 PM The thing is Wart, you gotta ask yourself, would you rather have your staff of programmers working on trying to simulate many different cars and in the end the only real difference is how they look? Or would you rather your team of programmers spend their time focusing on a single type of car, getting all the little things perfected? Which do you think is gonna produce a more enjoyable experience? Another thing to keep in mind...Porsche officially put it's name on the game. That means they had to demo the thing for the mucky-mucks at Porsche and impress them enough that they'd allow the Porsche name to be used. SysOpt.com
