In W98, the proper operation of both Standby & Suspend is problematic. Look at your Resource kit help file on your installation CD -- CDRom\tools\reskit\help\rk98book.chm
for some info on troubleshooting this.

For some reason, when I tell my computer to sleep (through shutdown menu), it'll do it okay, and if I wake it up within an hour or two, it'll wake up okay. But if it sleeps for long periods of time, it will not wake up when I press a key or move the mouse. Sometimes, if I keep pressing keys, or keep moving the mouse, it'll come back, and give me the blue screen. Any suggestions? Also, Win98 disabled standby after resetting too many times, but for some reason or another, it was enabled again. How do I enable it, should it be disabled again?

I have:

Celeron 566@850 using 1.8v on an Abit Slotket !!! with Golden Orb
PC-100 RAM at CAS2
POS brand 440BX mobo.
