OK I just installed WinMe. It has IE5.5 on it. I've been a netscape user for 7 yrs and have tried IE before. I'm trying to convert, so I'll give it a try again. Any help from all of you users would be appreciated. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
See if there is a way to fix these.
Things that I hate:
1. When I click on a link I don't get an hourglass or a fast indication that the click worked.
2. When I right click and open a new window it opens small and I have to maximize it everytime.
3. When I go to file open anf type in an address I have to type in the www. and .com or it usually won't work. It comes up with page cannot be displayed.

Thanks for any help.
Brian

Im comfortable with IE, (after a few years of MAC Netscape) why not just use Netscape? Use whatever version you like in addition to the NEW to you IE 5.5??? It might smoooth the transistion if yer aim is to finally commit to IE...

I too hate IE. (and all things M$). Why not just download the latest Netscape for windoze and run that instead ?

Or better still, go Linux ! No IE here; only Netscape. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Having IE & Netscape both installed can be a source of problems. If you can't live w/IE, I'd delete it before installing Netscape. IE can be removed by using IE Eradicator from:

You guys are misunderstanding me. Bad subject line I think. I would like to try and change to IE. I don't want to start a " which one is better thread".
There are some things that I don't like and would like to know if they can be changed.
I opened a new thread to help clarify things.
