www.migrainecentral.org (http://www.migrainecentral.org) Looking for someone that I can pay to "fix" my website, it needs an extreme cosmetic makeover for a more professional look, the opening text needs to be changed but more importantly the entire format, background, colors, fonts, etc need to be addressed, the design has to be Migraine friendly, (no wild colors or flashing items)...its just a links list, we have 100's that need to be added, and all I need is the ability to do so after the "makeover"...being a SSI recipient I cant afford the 500$ estimate I recieved locally to "fix" it...can anyone direct me to someone that can possibly assist me?? thanks <IMG SRC="http://b.postmypic.com/b.nsf/Z/MOD4PQWJ/$file/MOD4.jpg" border=0>

Have you considered using a pre-built site template to complete redesign your site. It would require minimal effort, and the results are commonly good. Here's a link for more info:

Can you recommend a good program for webpage editing? I don't wanna use HTML, since I gotta do so much, so I need a program that is like Dreamweaver, but not Dreamweaver. I have already gone through the Trial period of that one http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

never mind, Page Mill works http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
I need the interface to be all images, not working with the text. I would use Notepad for that :p
Homesite, which is the one I would like to use, does not have that, or at least not that I can see. Please, show me http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

well, i came into this post cuz i thought that maybe i could be of some assistance in working on your website, thekingofpain, but i got so confused (don't know why. probably because i got up really early and now it's late so my brain is utterly fried.) trying to read and understand all of the posts here.
do you still need help? is BTT going to help you? MTP? or what? I really couldn't follow the thread at all.
If you do still need help, I would gladly help you out. I know advanced HTML, javascript, etc. (just check my profile, as i don't want to type any more.)
Also, depending upon your server, I might be able to configure your site to be searchable (through the use of CGI or PHP. please find out from your web host if you can do either of these if you would consider my help.)
well, i'll probably be back here sometime tomorrow. if you can't wait feel free to e-mail me, as I'm sure I'll get that.
later.

Yes it did sort of take a slight turn off the path I intended to follow, Gradius has offered to assist when he is done with his current project, what we need done should be a simple process as its basically cosmetic in nature, just need it to be "migraine friendly" if that makes sense, sort of subdued, if ya havnt you can look here, thanks guys... www.migrainecentral.org (http://www.migrainecentral.org)

I noticed that your site was built for client side viewing at 800 x 600 and the background picture is repeating.
I think that it would be a good idea to make the home page default view at a resolution of 1024 X 768. I think that's what most people use there screen resolutions at nowadays. Or make a decorative margin for the background that you have so that the scroll bar won't appear at the bottom or side of the IE. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
