this is the long term link to download the whole magazine www.zdnet.com/pcweek/acrobat/2000/00pcweek/aug28ebiz.pdf (http://www.zdnet.com/pcweek/acrobat/2000/00pcweek/aug28ebiz.pdf)
a link to the one part of the magazine only lasts till + - 7 Sep

The article covered its point well, yet it could of mentioned I use a regular macro program to streamline things. & it has 1 item incorrect, being a guy with Cerebral Palsy doesn't mean I'm quadriplegic. Those folks have another level of concerns while I can move myself between chairs for instance. Importantly I hope the article shows off-the-self equipment & programs can very often be enabling!

Bryan:

Very interesting article. I am a spinal cord injured quadriplegic, and have dealt with many similar issues. I'm fortunate in that I can type fairly quickly with a pencil extended from a cuff on a wrist splint. Something I became proficient at while attending undergrad and graduate school. I also use voice recognition. But I think the most helpful improvement would be a decent, versatile global keyboard reprograming software with macro producing capabilities. I've tried several but none seem to work. I'd be happy to discuss this with you further.

Sincerely,

Brangwen we should be able to exchange some pointers [grin] The program I've used for years is ISS' Macro Express www.macros.com (http://www.macros.com) now at version 2.1b. It switches macros as u switch programs & has a variety of activation methods. Drawback is that Windows' Sticky keys seems to trip up macro programs, of course with 3 keyboard enhancers running at once oddities aren't a surprise. Voice recognition is interesting I like to know what u run.
