I was downloading wav files and decided to "run them from there location instead". The problem is I unchecked the little box that says "always ask before downloading this file type" and now it just opens media player. I want it back to giving me the prompt box. So how do I re-check it for wav files ????

Since you didn't specify, I'm assuming you're using IE. This should work if you're using IE5. Open up Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer). Go to View => Folder Options. Click on the File Types tab. Find the "Registered file type" that corresponds to .wav files on your computer. (It's what is displayed in Windows Explorer under the Type column. It may be Wav, Sound file, or something else. On mine it's Winamp media file.) Once you've found that, click the Edit button. Another window should open with a checkbox labeled "Confirm open after download" in the lower right side. Check the box, then OK, and you're done.
Hope this helps,
Steve

Thanks, that did the trick! I should of realized that it wasn't under IE the way Microsoft designed Windows with everything meshed together.
