Consistently locks up from time to time. jl123 09-03-2000, 02:19 PM I haven't seen how it looks yet. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Could one of you show a screen shot of it? I would really appriciate it. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Haven't used it yet. But i plan to. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif ~Joel drn 09-03-2000, 02:31 PM It looks the same as 98 and there is a restore option in the sys tools now and it works great also comes with DX7.1 and Meidia player 7 Mntsnow 09-03-2000, 03:26 PM Actually I think the look of it is much more closer to Win2K but the actual funtionatlity is that of Win98. The "windows explorer" operates the same as Win2K's in how it opens and where it opens by default. It also has the slightly slower browsing time for when first opening the network neighborhood. Overall I like it. If you want to experiance ME right now contact a OEM system builder and they can sell you the OEM version (WIth a system or HD or Mobo) legally as it's been avalible in the OEM channel for quite some time now http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif jl123 09-03-2000, 03:47 PM I've used Windows 2000 before and I like the look. Thanks guys! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif ~Joel tw1112 09-03-2000, 04:21 PM I am using WinMe, the final version that was released to companies, not the "hacked" version. Does anyone use WinMe and has a AMD Athlon processor? If so, are you having troubles shutting down sometimes? Or maybe WinMe and an Athlon with a GeForce??? Thanks because I have been having some troubles with it. Waiting patiently for the Microsoft Update page to give me some fixes. Thanks! Magnum 09-03-2000, 06:55 PM I have been using it since July. It is rock stable and faster too. drn 09-03-2000, 07:25 PM i use a athlon slot a tbird with it no trouble at all tw1112 09-03-2000, 10:07 PM Hmm...maybe just me then..sigh.. well here are my specs just in case that might help someone. I think it might be either the GeForce or the Virus scanner (Pc-Cillin), but just not sure. Thanks! ablang 09-06-2000, 07:33 AM How often do you guys reboot your Win ME computer due to: 1. Windows lockups & blue screens 2. Sagging performance due to low resources SysOpt.com
