Actually I think the look of it is much more closer to Win2K but the actual funtionatlity is that of Win98. The "windows explorer" operates the same as Win2K's in how it opens and where it opens by default. It also has the slightly slower browsing time for when first opening the network neighborhood. Overall I like it. If you want to experiance ME right now contact a OEM system builder and they can sell you the OEM version (WIth a system or HD or Mobo) legally as it's been avalible in the OEM channel for quite some time now http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I am using WinMe, the final version that was released to companies, not the "hacked" version. Does anyone use WinMe and has a AMD Athlon processor? If so, are you having troubles shutting down sometimes? Or maybe WinMe and an Athlon with a GeForce??? Thanks because I have been having some troubles with it. Waiting patiently for the Microsoft Update page to give me some fixes. Thanks!

Hmm...maybe just me then..sigh..

well here are my specs just in case that might help someone.

AMD Athlon 900 Mhz on an Asus K7V Mainboard
Guillemont Hercules 64mb GeForce 2
Sound Blaster Live Platinum
Adaptec 2940 controller
Typical modem and Linksys Ethernet
Kenwood 72x True CD-Rom
Yamaha 8x4x24 CDRW
Pioneer DVD-115
Live Drive I
Klipsch Speakers
2 Western Digital 20.5 GB 7200 hard drives

Running WinMe with Zonelabs, Pc Cillin Monitor and other small programs on start up. I think it might be either the GeForce or the Virus scanner (Pc-Cillin), but just not sure. Thanks!

How often do you guys reboot your Win ME computer due to:

1. Windows lockups & blue screens
2. Sagging performance due to low resources
