reinstalled win98 many times,ok for a few days then freezes loading windows. tracked it to STARTUP C\WINDOWS\scanregw.exe/autorun .I boot to safemode to disable, then boots ok.Once in windows i run scanregw.exe .
It boots ok for a while again,any suggestions PLEASE.

DVD plays ok but freezes if i resize the player.
Windows media player freezes when i try VCD or Divx from cdrom or HDD .[even freezes playing demo song that comes with it]
i have latest via 4in1 and ati graphics drivers etc.
Running AGPx1

KT7A-Raid
1.4Ghz 266fsb "T"bird
300w Psu
ATX case
ATI all in wonder 128 pro
DVD rom
cd-rw
256 pc133 SDRAM
Idle 29c full load 51c
Fans:-1 in front, 1 out back,1HDD

You wouldn't happen to have the dreaded SBLive soundcard? If so, try updating to the latest BIOS 3R and set these under Advanced Chipset Features:
Delay Transaction - Disabled
PCI master Read Caching - Disabled
PCI master time-out - 0
