I believe there's a charge for using it correct?
How's the sound quality like?
Is it significantly cheaper than regular long distance?
Just curious fellas,

well, MSN messenger now offers free PC-to-phone calling throughout the US and Canada (or Canadia http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif) provided through Net2Phone, and it's quality is good. i've never used it directly through Net2Phone, but i've heard that it is pretty good quality.
if you'd like to maybe download MSN messenger and try it out, you can go here (http://messenger.msn.com/). also, AIM is soon going to be incorporating this feature into it (big surprise!), and you can read about it (and even download a beta version) here (http://www.aol.com/aim/winbeta.html) (for windows) or here (http://dynamic.aol.com/cgi/redir?http://www.aol.com/aim/Linuxbeta.html) (for linux).
hope this could maybe help you out a little!

WWW.go2call.co.uk (http://WWW.go2call.co.uk) is doing free pc to phone calls. It isn't just for people in the UK you can use it anywhere in the world to phone certain countries here is an extract from their webpage:-
What telephone numbers can I call?
You can place unlimited free calls to the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland & Germany from anywhere in the world. Freephone calls, as well as calls that charge special, extra user fees are currently not available. Also, due to the high cost, Go2Call does not currently support calls to mobile phones.

I have MSN Messenger, and it can do free PC to phone LD calls, but from my experience, it seemed to be like CB radio, where only one person can talk at a time, not both at once, and people said they could barely hear me.

I use dialpad on a regular basis, and as long as you have a headset, or earphones so that you don't get an echo. This is a great (and FREE) way of calling PC to Phone..
Go to http://www.DialPad.com/ and register for free....

www.dialpad.com (http://www.dialpad.com) is great but if you want free long distance without having to use a computer go here www.broadpoint.com. (http://www.broadpoint.com.) Free two hour calling cards. You can sign up for as many as you want if you use different e-mail addresses. Hotmail is great for this.

I have used Media Ring Talk and Dialpad.com
Both have a delay, kinda like a send/receive switch on a CB radio. It takes a little getting used to, because you lose the spontaniety of a regular phone-line. You could'nt have an argument or a heated discussion for example. Best thing to do is try it, and call someone and see what they think. I was told that my reception was choppy and had static,(but I have a regular modem).
Let us know if you find a good service..
