Hi, I was just wondering...I was bored and was looking through ebay auctions and came to a seller that was selling Micron PC133 Ram for around $100. Now, I thought that micron sells its ram through the name of crucial? Is this fake Micron ram or some other company ram? Are these any good? They say that they are 7.5ns PC133 Ram. Just wanted to make sure...because I like the price..Thanks!

Crucial is the main company that Micron backs with their chips. But MANY companies use Micron memory chips on their own pcb's. Is the memory you are thinking about buying a "generic micron stick" or "genuine micron"?

Hmm...sadly I cannot be sure that it is a genuine Micron Ram piece. Here are two of the links that I was looking at. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=426071039

Is this the stuff that you buy at Computer Show's then?? Or do you think it is safe to use this in a system? Thank you very much for your thoughts...just want to know what you guys think.

Well since neither of them state the actual manufacturer of the memory I would try and email them asking them questions http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Thank you very much for your quick responses! I tried emailing one of the guys and he just responded me by Pasting what he had on the auction page. So...I guess I will just stop trying to save money and buy some crucial pc133 memory. Thank you for your posts Mntsnow!

Sorry one more question. Would you say that Crucial/Micron Memory is the best? Best being in stability and just by people using it and saying that it's the best? I know that that probably doesn't make any sense but yeah...sorry I still need more sleep. THank you!

What do you guys think.......
Corsair, Micron(Crucial), or Mushkin for PC133 Ram for my Asus K7V Athlon 900? I heard that mushkin is good...but also heard the same about the others...
