I recently upgraded my system w/a P4 1.5, Asus P4t mobo,
256 Rambus, etc. The mobo claims to have an FSB of 400mhz.
When I try to set the fsb in the bios the highest it will go is 133.
The manual shows dip switch "cpu external frequency setting" only going as high as 150mhz. The book shows a "bus frequency
multiple" as high as 24.

This is only the 3rd system I've built. I always thought the settings for a non-overclocked system = fsb x multiplyer= rated
cpu clock speed. My system shows bios settings of:
fsb 100mhz with a 15x = 1500mhz. The system runs fine but not
at the speed it really can. How can I get the board to run at
its advertised fsb 400mhz. I thought it should fsb@400 with
a 3.75 multi. = cpu 1500. Am I on the right track or way off.

Thanks

The bus for the RAM is independent, I believe. The entire system's bus does not run at 400MHz. I am not toally up on the P4 system so if womeone has a better explanation...:)
