I have a big problem with my KT7A RAID. When I run a program or when I start a movie or something... my computer just restarts like I pressed the reset button or something. I have tried everything but I just can't figure it out and it's VERY irritating. I probably have to change something in the BIOS, but I have no idea what it is.

Also I have a 1.4 Ghz AMD Thunderbird with a 256 MB Kingston memory DIMM (133 mhz), but I can't seem to run my computer on 1.4 Ghz. The maximum I get is the (predefined) 1.2 Ghz and my memory runs at 100 mhz (I ran a testing program). I tried switching to 10.5 by 133/44 mhz doesn't seem to work either. It is the right setting I believe, but when I set it and restart the computer my screen just goed to standby and it won't go on again until I reset my BIOS using the reset jumper on my motherboard.

If someone could help me out, I would GREATLY appreciate it. I already worked weeks trying to figure this thing out, so I thought I'dd try asking for help on a forum.

Which 1.4 do you have? The "C" 266 or "B" 200MHz? Either way, you should update the BIOS to version 3R. It has official support for the 1.4GHz CPUs and should detect the chip properly. In the meantime, to run the RAM at 133, set the DRAM clock to HCLK+PCICLK. I have no idea what's causing the reboots. Do you by chance have a SBLive soundcard? That may be the source of your probs. The BIOS update and the newest VIA 4in1 drivers v.4.32 may clear that up. Check out the KT7 FAQ (http://www.viahardware.com/faq/kt7/kt7faq.htm) for lot's of info and trouble shooting help. :D

Check your motherbaord for jummpers not on right. plus make shore that u have your cpu fan on fan1 jummper and not fan jummper 2

Plus check your pn1 and pn2

From what i have read it does sound like hardwave.

good luck

Follow Atomic Rooster's suggestions (flash with 3R BIOS). Check what FSB your processor runs at, then change accordingly :
100/33 - multiplier of 14, with RAM configured as HCLK+PCICLK, or
133/33 - multiplier of 10.5, with RAM configured as HCLK.

Best Regards ...
