Internal or External modem for dsl ?????

I'm ordering a modem for DSL service and I'm torn between a Internal or External modem. I'm looking for stability so I was leaning towards a external modem because I've read that they rely less on computer configuration. Anybody have any insight ???

External is the way to go. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I used the External dsl modem that came with my package instead of the dsl modem that came with my HP and it works great.
