Problems with Win2000 installation

Apologies if already asked but cannot find anywhere.

I have:

Win98
MSI K7T Pro (MS-6330) atx with AMD Duron
Award mobular bios v6.00pg

When trying to install Win2000 I get as far as the first reboot then the same error message appears and the machine stops. I am trying to install as a dual boot situation. The error says:

'Softthinks bios check v2.01 error. PC system not supported.'

Does this mean that I need a Win2000 compatible motherboard as I see no way of upgrading the bios on this. I tried contacting Award on 3 occassions but they do not reply.

Any help would be appreciated.

You have an Award BIOS chip, but you DO NOT have an Award BIOS program code stored in the CMOS BIOS chip.
