Has anyone ever tried to install Easy CD Creator 5 or any other burning software on XP? Just wondering if it will function with the XP cd software in media player?

I have XP builds: 2485,2505 and now 2600, Direct CD does not work on any of them. CD Creator works fine though.

I just installed the "Full" Retail version of XP Professional and burned a CD using Nero without a problem! I haven't installed or tried INCD, since I don't have any CD-RW's at the moment!

OK, guys, I worked on upgrading to Windows XP all yesterday and EasyCD 5.0 Platunum installs and works if you download the update at www.roxio.com. BUT, DirectCD does not work. You have the optin of using Nero or Easy CD Creator 4 WITH the relevant upgrade applied. This works fine with XP: both the Easy CD Creater and Direct CD. Roxio support says they will post an update to this known problem so in the meanwhile you will have to live with it. I installed version 4 and updated it and its perfect. Also XP comes with a built in cd writeing software so you really dont have to do anything till the 5.0 upgrade is out.
